The scalable EX4550 Ethernet switch offers an economical, power-efficient, 1/10GbE switch platform for enterprise campus and data center top-of-rack deployments, as well as for service provider environments.
The 1 U EX4550 has 32 wire-speed GbE/10GbE ports with two expansion slots for optional modules that increase port densities to 48. The EX4550 supports Layer 3 dynamic routing protocols such as RIP and OSPF, MPLS services such as Layer 2 and Layer 3 VPNs, Media Access Control Security (MACsec) on all ports, and a comprehensive quality-of-service (QoS) feature set.
The EX4550 also supports Juniper’s Virtual Chassis technology and can be deployed with EX4200 switches in the same Virtual Chassis configuration to support environments where both 1GbE and 10GbE servers are present.

The optional modules for an EX4550 switch are:
‣ 8-port 10-Gigabit SFP+ expansion module—Provides eight ports for eight 1-gigabit small form-factor pluggable (SFP) transceivers or eight 10-gigabit small form-factor pluggable (SFP+) transceivers. You can install a total of eight SFP and SFP+ transceivers in any combination in these eight ports.
‣ 8-port 10GBASE-T expansion module—Provides eight ports for 100-Megabit Ethernet BASE-T, 1-Gigabit Ethernet BASE-T, or 10-Gigabit Ethernet BASE-T RJ-45 connectors.
‣ 2-port 40-Gigabit QSFP+ expansion module—Provides two ports for 40-gigabit quad small form-factor pluggable (QSFP+) transceivers.
‣ 128-Gigabit Virtual Chassis module—Provides two dedicated Virtual Chassis ports (VCPs) for connecting the switch in a Virtual Chassis. You can also connect Virtual Chassis members using the SFP+ network ports, SFP+ expansion module ports, 10GBASE-T network ports, 10GBASE-T expansion module ports, and QSFP+ expansion module ports configured as VCPs.
You can expand the number of ports on an EX4550 switch by installing up to two optional expansion modules in the module slots on either side of the chassis.

Terms of Service
Lightwire Systems buys, sells, and trades new and used networking equipment. Customer acceptance of the equipment sold by Lightwire Systems binds both parties to the following terms and conditions:
QUOTES
Upon request, we will provide you with an written quote. Quoted and actual price/availability/delivery on all equipment may slightly vary due to time elapsed between quote and purchase, market supply/demand conditions, inventory status. We will honor a quote for a minimum of 30 days, please discuss with your client advisor longer quote time is needed.
CANCELLATIONS
Orders once placed may not be canceled without good cause. Please contact your client advisor with any changes and we will do our best to accommodate or address any concerns.
RETURNS & EXCHANGES
If you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase and it is within 30 days of delivery, and the product was sold from existing stock, we will accept the return of the working item in the same condition and packaging it was received subject to a 20% restocking fee. If a product was purchased specifically to fill your order and was not available in our inventory at that time, it is non-returnable. Customer is responsible for any freight charges on all returns.
PACKAGING
We use foam, bubble rap, sturdy boxes and professionally pack all hardware. In the event the item arrives damaged, immediately contact your client advisor. Lightwire Systems will work with the customer to address any issues due to damage during shipping and will work diligently to make sure you have working hardware as soon as possible.
SHIPPING
UPS and FED-EX are our shipping partners of choice, however we’re happy to accommodate other shipping partners per a customer’s request.
SALES TAX
Customers are subject to the sales tax rate per their region. Tax exempt organizations must provide us with their tax number when placing an order or will be charged sales tax.
CONDITION - WARRANTY - EXCHANGE
We sell used, unused in original box, and new equipment. All used hardware is fully tested and guaranteed fully functional before sold and comes with an advanced replacement one-year warranty (advance replacement due to failure will be shipped express to ensure your downtime is minimal). New hardware will come with original manufacturer warranties. Warranty covers DOA equipment or equipment failing to perform to manufacturers specifications. Warranty does not cover misuse and/or damage due to improper installation and/or operation of the equipment. No item can be returned without prior authorization. We will repair, exchange, or refund the equipment under warranty within 5 working days after its receipt at our warehouse. All equipment is subject to prior sale.
